NIXON, JOLLY LAUNDER MONEY AGAIN...

Nixonjolly
A political action committee, Public Safety Concern, had an Ethics Commission Complaint filed against them for its Financial Disclosure report dated 5/4/2006. The PAC contributed funds to State Representative Cathy Jolly and Attorney General Jay Nixon but failed to disclose the source of those funds.

According to Missouri law, voters are entitled to know the source of funds given to candidates seeking public office. The report only discloses that the funds came from an obscure PAC operating out of a PO Box. Missouri law requires higher standards for disclosure than what was provided.

Public Safety Concern reported receiving $2260 this period but fails to disclose who donated the money. The entire page has a large "N/A" written across it. The source of the $2260 could not be found anywhere on the report. Public Safety Concern reported making contributions of $1200 to the Committee to Elect Cathy Jolly and $1275 to the Nixon for Governor Campaign committee. They complaint was filed by Bob Gough of the Jackson County Taxpayers Association.

Could it be the Democrats are funneling money from obscure PACs once again?  Jay Nixon, notorious for his funneling schemes, should know better than to accept this donation. Nixon should also know better simply because he is the state's chief law officer. Cathy Jolly should also know better. She served as an assistant Prosecutor before being elected to office.

It is obvious the state of Missouri needs to clean house when it come to Democrats who feel the laws don't apply to them. The Source calls on Jolly and Nixon to return the donations and to put a stop to their illegal campaign tactics.

MOORE SIDES WITH GAY MARRIAGE, CLEAVER

Moore On Tuesday Congressman Dennis Moore (D-KS) sided with Missouri Congressman Emanuel Cleaver when he voted against a Constitutional Amendment banning Gay Marriage.  Moore, who hails from the conservative state of Kansas, feels it is not the government’s right to decide who and who can not be wed.  That is very admirable of Moore; too bad 70% of his home state disagrees with him.

Maybe Dennis Moore has grown too comfortable in Congress.  Maybe Dennis Moore feels like he can not be beat.  As Dennis Moore becomes more comfortable in his position, he is allowing his true liberal beliefs to shine through.  The Source advises Moore to vote in line with his values system as he did Tuesday.

Kansas deserves to see how their elected officials truly feel.  With this vote, Moore is beginning to show that he is not right for the state.  It is becoming more and more evident with every vote that Dennis Moore is much closer to Emanuel Cleaver than many in Kansas had thought.  It is obvious they both possess the same liberal beliefs and ideologies.

Kansas needs to let Dennis Moore know they are not in step with his beliefs when November rolls around.

Turmoil within Dem ranks

Threesenators

It would make sense for Democrats to go after Republicans less than four months from Election Day.  But Democrats simply do not make sense.  Instead of focusing on what was supposed to be their biggest day in 10 years, Election Day, Missouri Democrats have decided to focus their aggression on one another.  Proving once again that Democrats are not responsible enough to lead, State Senate leaders are attempting to maneuver a behind the scenes coup.

It appears that Chuck Graham (Columbia), Assistant Minority Floor Leader, is attempting to take out current Minority Floor Leader Maida Coleman.  Graham wishes to take Coleman out and replace her with Senator Tim Green of St. Louis.  The Source wonders what the implications of Graham’s actions will mean for the other Democrat members of the Senate.

With less than four months before the General Election, and less than three weeks before the Primary, Democrats are showing why they can not win.  Most successful political parties would attempt unify their ranks, instead the Democrats decided to divide.  Aren’t they really smart?

ADAM AND STEVE...

Cleaver_1 Emanuel Cleaver is steamed, and rightfully so. Members of the African-American community and members of the Christian clergy support a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. Cleaver is right to be upset with the community and with the clergy due to the fact that they do not support his agenda. Cleaver has himself performed civil unions between homosexual couples in the past. And now his own community is rising up to oppose such practices. The reverend must notice the fact that he does not have support with his stance on this issue. So what does Emanuel Cleaver do when he does not have the support of his community or the support of his church? Emanuel Cleaver remains stubborn. So Congressman Cleaver is upset. He is upset with the African-American community for holding values that conflict with homosexual marriage and unions. He is upset with the church for standing against practices that directly oppose the teachings of the church. And last but most importantly, Cleaver must be upset with himself, for performing homosexual unions and refusing to budge even when he notices he is wrong.
